David and Kathi Jensen moved from their Florida home to Calhoun, Tennessee, in August of 2019. Inspired by Tenessee’s natural beauty and intrigue (and desiring to live closer to two of their three children attending university near Chattanooga), they purchased Hiwassee Acres with the dream of turning it into a retreat center for individuals of all ages.

David and Kathi (with help from the kids on weekends) turned the run-down property into a high quality retreat and event center. With a conference center, auditorium, modern living spaces, a lodge, miles of hiking trails, and much more, Hiwassee Acres became the perfect getaway for anyone seeking a relaxing escape, corporate retreat, family reunion, weekend wedding, and more.
